This was our first real FALL week. Chilly mornings and Cold nights! I hurriedly harvested my last batch of summer vegetables and put that little patch of ground to rest and hibernate. It looks really empty out there. Thankfully, some decorations with store bought pumpkins makes the back patio look decent and happy. Fall/Winter is the official season to enjoy candles. Cozy evenings, soft, comfortable blanket, warmth of a fireplace, a hot drink and aroma of a lovely candle. Perfect combination for a relaxing evening!! I am not fond of food candle scents. So as much as Autumnal colors and pumpkin decors bring me joy, pumpkin scented candles don't. Currently, I have the nestfragrances Grapefruit candle* on my table. It is an exhilarating blend of pink pomelo grapefruit and watery green notes with lily of the valley and coriander blossom. The scent is crisp, fresh and fruity but not citrusy, even though it falls into the citrus category. The cold throw is beautiful. The candle burns cleanly and evenly infusing the atmosphere with exceptional scent. As always, one important factor that I really look for in a candle is the vessel it comes in. It should be beautiful and functional. The glass vessel etched with elegant, frosted stripes is gorgeous and complements any decor. Over the years, I have collected multiple Nest candle empties and they have been recycled and reused successfully.
